Extraordinary Women In Tech – EWIT
1. SCOPE
If the USER participates in the Extraordinary Women In Tech event, the following additional conditions shall be applicable.
Avenue Code, a company of Grupo UOL, is the organizer of the Extraordinary Women in Tech (“the Events”) and is committed to protecting your Data. These specific conditions explain the types of Data collected and created in connection with the Events, how and why they are used, who it is shared with and the USER’s legal rights.
Unless indicated otherwise, these specific conditions relate to the collection and use of any Data in relation to the Events, which may include, but is not limited to:
- the Events themselves;
- the Events websites and their related subdomains including those pertaining to registration for attendance at the Events;
- online surveys relating to the Events;
- messages sent regarding the Events; and
- the Events official social media channels.
2. DATA COLLECTED
Data is collected and received in several different ways. In many cases, the USER chooses what Data to provide, although some Data is required to allow access to the Events.
- Attendee registration information. When the USER registers to attend the Events, it must provide Data such as name, title, company, email address, telephone number and social media contacts.
- Conference survey responses. Grupo UOL may ask USERS to participate in optional surveys regarding their experience at the Events in order to help its improvement.
- Third party social media accounts. If the USER chooses to link its social media account(s) with the Events hashtag, Grupo UOL may receive certain information from that account, such as the USER’s title, picture, and other information the USER authorizes.
3. HOW DATA IS USED
Data is used to provide, operate, improve, understand, customize, support, organize, coordinate, manage and market the Events, including:
3.1. Providing and improving the Events.
Data is used as necessary to run the Events, such as to register attendees, issue tickets and register at the Event's venues.
3.2. Communicating with the USER.
Data is used to contact the USERS regarding its registration to attend, volunteer or speak at an Event, to notify USERS of any changes to policies and practices, for commercial, sales or investment purposes, and to respond to any requests or inquiries the USER may submit.
4. SHARING WITH THIRD PARTIES
Data is shared with service providers, affiliates, partners, and other third parties where it is necessary to perform the Terms and Conditions and to organize and manage the Event.
The third parties with whom Data is shared use it to provide services including customer support, data storage, website hosting, ticketing, payments processing, legal advice, compliance, marketing and data analysis. These third parties are contractually required to use the Data only to provide their service to us and are prohibited from using it for their own purposes.
